PROJECT MANAGER – LUXURY RETAIL & COMMERCIAL FITOUTS

AusPacific Prestige Alliance (APPA) is an integrated project delivery group bringing together specialist capabilities across commercial construction, international project delivery, luxury residential, procurement and manufacturing.

Through our specialist businesses, we work across premium retail, hospitality, workplace and other high-end commercial environments, connecting design, construction, procurement and manufacturing around the requirements of each project.

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple projects from initial briefing through to completion and handover.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on project management role for someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking responsibility for projects from beginning to end.

You will act as the central point of coordination across clients, designers, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturing partners and internal APPA teams, ensuring every project remains organised, documented and moving according to programme.

The role requires someone who can operate autonomously, manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain clear visibility across every stage of delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage multiple commercial fitout and interior projects from initial briefing and pre-construction through to delivery, handover and close-out.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, milestones, deliverables and critical deadlines.
- Coordinate clients, consultants, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project trackers, spreadsheets, documentation and reporting across the entire project portfolio.
- Track drawings, approvals, samples, procurement, manufacturing, deliveries, variations and outstanding actions.
- Coordinate design development and ensure information required for construction and manufacturing is issued accurately and on time.
- Work closely with estimating, procurement,



manufacturing and site teams to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated.
- Coordinate procurement and manufacturing timelines with project programmes.
- Monitor project budgets, quotations, variations and commercial information in collaboration with management and estimating.
- Attend client, design and site meetings and drive actions through to completion.
- Identify programme, procurement, design and delivery risks early and escalate or resolve issues before they affect the project.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and provide regular project updates.
- Coordinate site delivery with site teams, supervisors and relevant trades.
- Manage practical completion, defects, handover documentation and project close-out.
- Support after-care requirements where applicable.
- Establish strong project administration and reporting discipline across all assigned projects.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who has already delivered premium commercial interior projects and understands the level of coordination required when design, construction, joinery, procurement and manufacturing all need to come together.

You will ideally bring

- 5–8+ years’ experience in project management, project coordination or construction delivery.
- Strong experience within commercial fitout, luxury retail, hospitality or high-end interiors.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Experience delivering premium or luxury environments where quality, detailing and finishes are critical.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, drawings, specifications and programmes.
- Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
- Strong understanding of procurement and lead-time management.
- Excellent project administration and documentation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, including exposure to budgets, quotations and variations.




- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an organised, proactive working style.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to identify problems early and drive solutions rather than waiting for direction.

Highly regarded: Experience with custom joinery, furniture manufacturing, offshore manufacturing or international procurement.

QUALIFICATIONS A qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, although substantial relevant industry experience will also be considered.

Every active project has a clear and current source of truth covering project stage, programme, drawings, approvals, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, site delivery, variations, outstanding actions, responsible persons and next deadlines.

SALARY

$100,000–$110,000 + super, depending on experience.
