Project Manager | Owner's Team | Mining & Resources Projects An exciting chance exists for a Project Manager to join a growing technical consulting team delivering mining, energy and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. Working in an owner's representative capacity, you will oversee the safe and successful delivery of capital works from planning and construction through to commissioning, handover and close-out. Based in Perth with regular site travel, this role will see you acting as the key link between project stakeholders, contractors, operations teams and site supervisors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on project leader who enjoys balancing site engagement with project governance and stakeholder management while working across a diverse portfolio of brownfield and greenfield projects.

Role Opportunity

We are seeking either a proven Senior/Lead Project Engineer or Project Manager with experience delivering mining, resources, energy, infrastructure or heavy industrial projects. Working closely with technical and commercial teams, you will take ownership of project delivery, contractor management and site execution activities while providing owner-side oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, risks, contractors and key project interfaces while ensuring strong communication between site teams and project stakeholders.

The role offers a mix of Perth office-based work and regular site travel, providing exposure to all aspects of project execution from concept through to operational handover.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

- Relevant qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar discipline
- Demonstrated project or construction management experience within mining, energy, resources or infrastructure sectors
- Experience delivering projects within operating industrial environments
- Strong contractor management and stakeholder coordination experience
- Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets and delivery risks
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
- Sound understanding of construction, commissioning and project handover processes
- Working knowledge of contractor management, QA/QC and site safety systems
- Strong commercial awareness including variations and contractor claims management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing project priorities
- Full Australian working rights

Desirable Experience

- Electrical engineering, electrical trade or electrical project delivery background
- Experience delivering power, electrical infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Exposure to power generation, distribution or BESS projects
- Brownfield project and shutdown delivery experience
- Experience managing isolations and commissioning activities
- Previous owner-side, EPCM or consulting experience
- Exposure to mining and resources capital projects




- Experience working with site-based supervisory teams

Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage assigned projects from planning through to close-out
- Act as the owner's representative during project execution
- Coordinate contractors, consultants and site stakeholders
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and execution plans
- Monitor project progress and resolve delivery constraints
- Lead project meetings and provide project reporting to stakeholders
- Manage project risks, issues and change control processes
- Coordinate construction, commissioning and operational handovers
- Review contractor performance, claims and variations
- Oversee quality assurance and project documentation requirements
- Support procurement and contractor engagement activities
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards and procedures
- Maintain project controls including costs, schedules and risk registers
- Build strong relationships across operations, maintenance and engineering teams
- Champion safe project delivery and continuous improvement
