SAP Project Manager | QLD Government | Lead Major SAP Programs Driving Digital Transformation Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex SAP initiatives within a large and highly regarded Queensland Government environment. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic digital transformation programs, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver business-critical outcomes that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

About the Role

As the SAP Project Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of large-scale SAP projects aligned with organisational objectives. You will work closely with senior executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver transformative solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex SAP projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and vendors.
- Establish and manage project governance, reporting, risk management, and compliance activities.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Drive SAP-enabled digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and briefings for senior leadership and governance forums.
- Ensure adherence to Queensland Government policies, procurement requirements,



and project delivery frameworks.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Extensive experience delivering large-scale SAP programs, implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ecosystems, ideally including SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Proven experience applying project delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK, or similar frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong risk, governance, and compliance management capabilities.
- Experience working within government or complex enterprise environments will be highly regarded.

Desirable Qualifications

- Degree qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, SAP Activate, or other relevant project management certifications.
