About the role

West Coast Bitumen Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Supervisor to join our busy team in Port Lincoln, SA. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, supporting their team, operating plant when required, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

As Project Supervisor, you will be the link between our Operations Manager and the Site Crew, and be responsible for day-to-day site management. This role is essential to our operational success and positions you at the forefront of our construction activities.

What you'll do

- Supervise and coordinate the crew in office, ensuring all work is completed according to project specifications and timelines
- Work collaboratively with our Operations and Logistics Managers to manage site logistics, including equipment, materials and resource allocation to optimise project efficiency
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and inductions for new team members on-site
- Maintain site Paperwork, including traceability plans, progress records and incident reports
- Coach, mentor and develop team members while driving accountability and performance.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant construction standards, regulations and company policies

You'll ideally have

- Proven experience as a Project Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
- Experience with Spray Seal and/or Asphalt Operations
- The ability to work under pressure and make decisions on site
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements, with experience implementing and managing safety protocols on civil construction sites




- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials and equipment used in bitumen or road-related projects
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and technical documents
- Formal qualifications in construction, civil engineering or a related discipline are advantageous
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Experience with quality assurance and compliance documentation
- Willingness to travel/work away from home for periods of up to 2 weeks at a time.
