Mindstate Consulting is a multidisciplinary private practice, well situated just 100m from

Chatswood Station. Our team of psychologists, psychiatry, speech pathology, ADHD coaching and educational services supports children, adolescents and adults across a wide range of presentations.

We began as a specialist ADHD practice, focused on diagnosis, assessment and management. Since then we've expanded to provide evidence-based assessment,

treatment and support for a broad and varied mix of clients and presentations.

We work hand in hand with psychiatrists, paediatricians, GPs, schools and workplaces, as well as partner practitioners across Sydney and Australia. The result is care that is connected, consistent and built around the person.

About the role

This is a dynamic role that spans several areas of the practice.

Alongside therapy and psychological assessments, the role plays a central part in our

ADHD psychiatry services. It involves preparing and supporting patients for psychiatric review and facilitating handovers between our psychology and psychiatry services.

The role also contributes to our psychology department and its growth. This includes working closely with our referrers, such as GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists and schools,

to build strong, collaborative relationships.

The role starts at 2–3 days per week. Our aim is for it to grow into a full-time position and a leadership role within the psychology department.

Key duties include

Delivering evidence-based therapy (CBT and trauma-informed approaches) to children,



adolescents and adults

Conducting intake sessions, clinical interviews and case formulation

Completing ADHD assessments

Administering, scoring and interpreting cognitive and academic assessments (e.g.

WISC, WAIS, WIAT)

Writing clear, comprehensive assessment reports with practical recommendations

Preparing patients for psychiatric review, including pre-psychiatrist assessments and handover documentation

Coordinating with our psychiatrists on shared-care patients and treatment follow-up

Developing and reviewing treatment plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team

Liaising with GPs, paediatricians, schools and allied health professionals, including referral letters and progress updates

Taking part in team meetings, case discussions and service development for the psychology department

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a psychologist with a special interest in ADHD and related conditions who wants a long-term home and room to grow.

Requirements

Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist (General or Clinical)

Medicare Provider Number eligibility

Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check

Current professional indemnity insurance

Willingness to obtain SIRA registration for Workers Compensation clients

Skills in CBT and trauma-informed practice

Experience or strong interest in ADHD, neurodivergence and ADHD assessment

Confidence working with children, adolescents and adults

Clear, team-oriented communication with referrers and community services A warm, compassionate approach and a genuine commitment to good outcomes for clients

Own clinical supervision arrangements (supervision is not provided in this role)

Pay: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 23.0 per week
