Senior Commercial and Industrial Electrician | Sunshine Coast

Coast Electrical & Data Services is a commercial electrical and data contractor based in Forest Glen, and winner of NECA 2026 Queensland Small Emerging Business of the Year. We deliver electrical and communications on new builds and fit outs for builders and developers across Queensland: storage facilities, warehouses, retail and offices.

We need a licensed electrician to join our projects crew and run areas on site alongside our site supervisor.

What you'll be doing

- Commercial and industrial fit outs and new builds: underground reticulation, cable tray and conduit work, cable runs, switchboards and sub mains, light and power, data and air conditioning
- Testing, commissioning and handover paperwork
- Coordinating on site with the builder's program and flagging problems early
- Running your own area with an apprentice and teaching them properly

- Rate: $48 to $52 per hour plus super and overtime, depending on experience
- Vehicle: fully maintained company vehicle, fuel card, uniform and tablet
- Away work: paid travel time, $100 per night living away allowance, accommodation organised,



and set rosters so you know where you'll be
- Work mix: 60 to 80% storage and warehouse projects (often away), with local projects and service work when you're back on the Coast
- Tools and systems: quality company tools, materials organised daily, Simpro job management, clear scopes and expectations
- Team: Site supervisor, a tight crew and valuable apprentices

Away work, upfront This role includes regular regional projects with up to 11 nights away at a time. If you enjoy travel and the extra money that comes with it, this will suit you. If you want to be home every night, keep an eye out for our upcoming service role.

What you need

- Current QLD Electrical Licence
- Commercial or industrial project experience
- Able to read construction drawings and deliver neat, compliant installs
- LVR/CPR, white card and open driver licence
- Able to handle physical site work

Nice to have: EWP licence, working at heights, storage or warehouse experience.
