A&G; Engineering is seeking a motivated 4th Year Apprentice or Qualified Fitter/Machinist to join our machine shop team in Griffith, NSW.

About the Role

As a Fitter/Machinist, you will work in a up-to-date, clean, and well-equipped machine shop operating high-quality CNC and manual machinery. You will manufacture precision components used in award-winning food processing equipment exported worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate manual lathes, milling machines, drills, and other machining equipment.
- Assist with CNC machine operation and programming.
- Read and interpret engineering and CAD drawings.
- Select appropriate materials and machining methods.
- Maintain high-quality standards and comply with quality assurance procedures.
- Work effectively within a team to meet production deadlines.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Trade qualification as a Fitter/Machinist or be a 4th Year Mechanical Trade Apprentice.
- Current enrolment in, or completion of, Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM30219).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
- Australian working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Desirable Qualifications

- Class C Driver Licence.
- Forklift Licence or other High Risk Work Licence.
- Construction Induction (White Card).
- Experience operating and programming CNC machinery.
