About the Role

As a Field Service Electrician/Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring residential properties comply with current smoke alarm legislation through high-quality installation, servicing, and maintenance.

You’ll work across a variety of homes, liaising with tenants, property owners, and real estate agents, delivering professional service while managing your day efficiently and safely.

You’ll also be trained to deliver additional compliance services, making this a varied and engaging role beyond standard electrical work.

This role can be four days per week if you prefer.

Key Responsibilities





- Deliver excellent customer service when dealing with property managers, tenants, residents, and private owners
- Install, service, and troubleshoot smoke alarms in line with manufacturer instructions, legislation, and best practice
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Queensland smoke alarm legislation (and NSW where applicable)
- Review and clarify work orders with the office team prior to attending jobs
- Accurately record all work via the SAI tech portal, including photos and site details
- Comply with all Queensland electrical safety regulations and internal safety policies
- Manage time effectively while maintaining quality and compliance standards

About You

You’ll likely have:

- A current QLD Electrical Licence
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Confidence working independently in the field
- Basic tech skills for using mobile job management systems
- A professional, reliable, and respectful approach when working in people’s homes
