Youth Program Worker

MADEC is recruiting a passionate Youth Program Worker to support the delivery of our Youth Empowerment Support Service (YESS) and Pathways to Independence (PTI) programs.

n

This is a Full-Time opportunity- 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

n

About the Role

n

As a Youth Program Worker, you will:

n

n
- Build positive, professional relationships with young people.
n
- Deliver individual and group-based youth programs.
n
- Support young people to develop life skills, confidence and independence.
n
- Assist participants to access education, employment, training and community opportunities.
n
- Facilitate workshops, activities and community engagement initiatives.
n
- Maintain accurate participant records and case notes.
n
- Work collaboratively with community organisations, schools and referral partners.
n
- Contribute to a positive, secure and inclusive environment for young people.
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Qualification (or working towards) in Community Services, Youth Work or a related field.
n
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
n
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
n
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
n
- National Police Check.
n
- Experience working with vulnerable young people, employment programs or community services will be highly regarded.
n
