Medical Receptionist/Relief Practice Manager

Casino Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist / Relief Practice Manager to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. We are looking for an experienced medical receptionist, preferably with GP experience, who is confident with the day-to-day running of a busy reception and is ready to take on additional responsibility as a second-in-charge and provide relief support to the Practice Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

- Act as a day-to-day second-in-charge for reception and administration, providing practical guidance and support to team members
- Assist with training, onboarding and upskilling reception team members in practice systems, procedures and service standards
- Promote a positive, respectful and patient-focused team culture
- Manage minor operational issues where appropriate and escal...??? staffing, workflow or patient service concerns to the Practice Manager
- Monitor daily front-desk priorities,



communication and task completion to support smooth practice operations

About you

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist, preferably in general practice
- Sound knowledge of Medicare and MBS item numbers
- Experience with PRODA
- Knowledge of MyMedicare
- Experience with Medicare billing and claiming
- Experience with Best Practice software
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to support, guide and work alongside other reception staff
- Confidence to deal with day-to-day operational issues and use initiative
- A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
