The Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role will coordinate and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance across food safety, quality, regulatory and customer requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining audit readiness, managing quality documentation and driving continuous improvement across a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include

- Maintain and improve the site's Quality Management System and food safety standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and non-conformance investigations.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage quality documentation, specifications, testing records and audit reports.
- Coordinate product testing and Certificates of Analysis in line with customer requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and support supplier quality reviews.
- Track quality KPIs,



analyse trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.

Your Background

This role suits an experienced Quality Assurance or Quality Systems professional with a robust background in food or another regulated manufacturing environment. You will also have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Systems within food or a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, SQF and food safety standards.
- Experience coordinating internal and external audits.
- Experience managing quality documentation, non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Understanding of product testing, traceability and quality compliance.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
- A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
