Provide expert level clinical expertise and advice to support the management and strategic development of state-wide Clinical imaging informatics including Radiology Information System (RIS)/ Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) and integration of services to deliver effective business outcomes for medical imaging services that use Queensland Health’s (QH); Clinical Imaging Informatics Systems. The Radiographer - Consultant (Radiology Informatics Systems) in the Queensland Imaging Informatics Support Unit reports to the Director, Queensland Imaging Informatics Support Unit, Digital Health Branch, eHealth Queensland.

What you'll do

- Lead the State-wide development of clinical imaging informatics solutions for Queensland Health by applying strategic leadership, direction and professional and clinical radiographic skills and knowledge of the fields of medical imaging and medical imaging technologies in line with QH's core values to develop novel evidence-based solutions.
- Actively initiate and lead the development of clinical systems strategy for clinical imaging informatics advocating authoritatively on a state-wide basis and contributing to relevant governance forums.
- Apply expert level of clinical leadership in the development of radiological informatics standards at a national level informed by research and contemporary best practice .
- Provide authoritative counsel and strategic advice to the Director of Queensland Imaging Informatics Support Unit (QIISU), the Executive Director, Digital Health Branch, eHealth Queensland), eHealth Queensland DDG, HHS Executive(s)



to inform the development of state-wide clinical informatics service improvements and governance.
- Lead the development of innovative clinical, technical, tactical and strategic solutions to clinical imaging informatics problems that support emerging clinical needs and contribute to the development of clinical information sharing at a state-wide level by applying detailed expert knowledge and understanding.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

- Demonstrated consultant level of medical imaging clinical and technical knowledge, expertise and skill including detailed understanding of clinical workflows in radiology, their relationship to effective informatics systems and the impact of these systems upon clinical service delivery.
- Ability to provide strategic and operational advice to guide development of major clinical informatics solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage significant project budgets for projects delivering radiology informatics support across the full range of QH hospital facilities in a state-wide service delivery context
- Demonstrated ability to lead research to influence the development of standards in clinical informatics at a state-wide and national level.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information of a sensitive nature in a continuously reforming environment.
