SubZero Electrical & Airconditioning is a growing Adelaide-based air conditioning company looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. We specialise in domestic air conditioning, with the majority of our work consisting of new home builds. We install split systems and ducted air conditioning systems, as well as carrying out servicing, repairs and fault finding.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys installation work, can work independently and takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.
The Role
The majority of your work will be on recent residential builds, installing air conditioning systems from start to finish in a two-stage system (1st Fix - 2nd Fix) Your day-to-day work will include:
- Installation of residential ducted air conditioning systems
- Working on new home construction sites
- Installation of residential split systems
- Installing refrigerant pipework, drains, ductwork and electrical connections
- System commissioning and testing
- Servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing air conditioning faults
- Refrigeration and electrical fault finding
- Leak detection, repairs and refrigerant charging
- Attending residential service and breakdown jobs
- Replacing components and carrying out repairs
- Working alongside builders, electricians and other trades
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Completing job documentation and maintaining a clean and organised work area
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in residential air conditioning
- Is confident installing split and ducted systems
- Has a standard refrigeration/electrical hand tool kit and basic power tools suitable for installation work
- Has experience working on new home builds
- Can complete installations independently from start to finish
- Is confident with fault finding and repairs
- Has a strong understanding of refrigeration and electrical systems
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Has good communication and customer service skills
- Holds a current driver's licence
- Holds the relevant refrigeration/air conditioning licences and qualifications
An electrical licence is highly regarded but not essential.
