Due to a number of current contracts we are seeking an experienced Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to join our energetic team at our Port Hedland branch. The ideal candidate will have a full trade certificate in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration, a full arctic license, and a minimum restricted electrical license (dual electrical license is highly desirable).

Experience with a wide range of HVAC equipment, from domestic split systems to commercial chillers and refrigerated units, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Duties: Install, service and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment

Diagnose faults and identify defective components

Repair and replace components and parts in refrigeration and air conditioning systems

Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance

Test systems, components and equipment following repairs and installation

Carry out system commissioning and ensure equipment is operating correctly





Work with refrigerants in accordance with relevant requirements

Read technical specifications, plans and drawings as required

Complete service, maintenance and repair records

Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant workplace and industry requirements

Skills, Qualifications and Licenses Required:

Relevant trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning

Relevant experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic

Current Refrigerant Handling License

Relevant electrical license

Current driver's license

Construction White Card

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $140,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
