About the role

We are on the lookout for a Ground Operations Supervisor for our Byron Bay drop zone!

We are offering you the opportunity to be a part of a leading company in tourism where having fun and building relationships is an important part of the role!The Ground Operations Supervisor will report to the Drop Zone Manager and provide support in overseeing the day-to-day ground operations, ensuring a safe, efficient and positive experience for both customers and staff.

About you

You are an experienced manager with excellent customer service and communication skills. You have prior experience managing a team with the ability to recruit, train and develop staff - people management. You have robust administration skills with proven attention to detail with a solid understanding of Microsoft office programs including Excel. You are honest, dedicated and will take accountability for your team.

Your responsibilities will include:





- Support the Drop Zone Manager and senior managers in supervising and monitoring safety, training, compliance and awareness of company policies, procedures, leave entitlements and payroll approvals.
- Step in to support the day-to-day management of the Drop Zone when the Drop Zone Manager is unavailable.
- Assist with supervision of all team members during daily operations
- Assist with managing and monitoring staff rostering, training, compliance and awareness of company policies and procedures
- Facilitate effective communication through regular team meetings
- Office and administration duties including banking, cash reconciliation, uniform and supply ordering and back of house requirements.
- Keep the team well informed on company marketing initiatives, fostering their involvement and support.
- Develop and maintain positive internal and external relationships through communication and consultation.
- Assist with recruitment and training of new team members
