About the Opportunity

Projects Assured is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support a major program delivering critical GEOINT mission system capabilities.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that support operational outcomes. You will collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, project managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to deliver innovative software solutions within a highly secure Defence environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components.
- Analyse business and technical requirements to deliver effective software solutions.
- Participate in peer code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to estimate, plan, and deliver software outcomes.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications,



including defect resolution and code refactoring.
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Contribute to technical architecture and solution design activities.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Defence security requirements and the Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

- Significant experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and contemporary development practices.
- Experience working in Agile and multidisciplinary delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience contributing to solution architecture and technical design.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively within complex Defence or Government environments.

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded

- Defence, intelligence, national security, or mission system environments.
- Secure and classified ICT systems.
- System integration and API development.
- Cloud, containerisation, and DevSecOps practices.
- Geospatial, intelligence, or GEOINT-related systems.
