This is a hands-on position managing all physical and operational aspects of markets and events. You will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for hospitality, outstanding work ethic and a true sense of urgency. You will lead by example on market and event days with calm confidence, overseeing site operations, food stall coordination, and event management. The role requires early Saturday (and occasional Sunday) morning starts and working outdoors.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee site set up, bump-in and bump-out each Saturday and at other regular markets and events
- Manage stallholder placement, operations and traffic management
- Ensure site safety, cleanliness and community engagement remain top-notch
- Oversee public health and safety and risk mitigation
- Co-ordinate entertainment programming and manage activations and events
- Lead by example and provide leadership, guidance, and clear direction to the site crew with a positive attitude
- Co-ordinate multiple food stalls and maintain service and systems standards
- Manage stock control, ordering and food safety standards
- Manage event build including scheduling,



site logistics and infrastructure, participants, suppliers, contractors and implementing event management plans
- Additional but non-essential digital media skills - content creation, experience with taking photo and digital imagery, basic photo and film editing and preparing posting content.

About you

- Hands on, highly organised individual with integrity and common sense
- Robust attention to detail regarding cleanliness, site logistics and crowd control
- Hospitality management experience preferred, even at assistant or duty manager level
- Live locally, hold a driver's license and have own means of transport
- Physically fit and capable of lifting or moving event infrastructure
- Strong time management and the ability to think on your feet
