Job Description

Australian Landscape Supplies Our sister company, Environ Landscape Solutions is a Queensland-based company that designs, builds and maintains residential, commercial and industrial landscapes. We hold full licensing in structural landscaping, so every project meets compliance and quality standards.

We're looking for an experienced Landscape Gardener to deliver residential and commercial projects from site preparation through to completion. You'll need to read plans, set out works, select suitable materials, and build to a high standard across a wide range of hardscape work.

Task & responsibilities

- Planning and set-out Review landscape plans and site requirements with the Construction Manager or Foreman before starting work. Interpret plans and drawings, set out works accurately, select materials and help schedule construction activities. Use horticultural knowledge and design expertise to create functional and appealing outdoor spaces.
- Select and specify plants, trees, shrubs and materials suited to the design and landscape site conditions and client requirements. Softscape and planting Oversee planting and soft landscaping includingsoil testing, soil improvement, mulching and drainage. Planting in line with the landscape plan.

Preparing lawn areas

- Carry out establishment care for new plantings and lawns, including watering, fertilising and pruning. Design, install and maintain irrigation systems.

Hardscape structures

- Carry out site preparation, including excavation, levelling, compaction and base preparation. Construct gravelled and paved areas, including paths, patios and entertaining areas, using pavers, natural stone and outdoor tiles.



Complete concreting for paths, paved areas and footings or bases for landscape structures. Build retaining walls, garden walls and natural stone features.

Build and install fencing

- Build and install fencing, including pool fencing to compliance standards, and glass, aluminium and timber fencing. Build timber and composite decking, pergolas, trellises and other garden structures, including framing, footings and finishing. Landscape around pools and outdoor living areas, including surrounds, paving, fencing and planting.

Help install pre-cast pools

- Help install pre-cast pools as part of the overall landscape works, with licensed trades. Guide team members on landscape construction methods, planting practices and installation standards. Check the quality of completed works against plans and specifications, and raise any issues with the Foreman or Construction Manager.

Site coordination and safety

- Liaise with the Foreman and Construction Manager, and coordinate work with other trades and subcontractors. Work safely with hand and power tools, light machinery, plant vehicles and small excavators. Use the correct tool for each task and follow company Safe

Work Method Statements (SWMS)

- Follow workplace health and safety requirements to keep the site safe for staff and clients. Wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Take faulty power tools out of service





- Take faulty power tools out of service and report them to the Construction Manager. Keep worksites and company vehicles clean and free of rubbish. Lock all tools in the trailer at the end of each workday.

Communicate with clients

- Communicate with clients when the Foreman or Construction Manager asks you to.

Qualification & experience

- A landscape construction or relevant trade qualification, and/or substantial practical experience in landscape construction
- Proven experience across several of the following: pre-cast pool installation, pool equipment, fencing, decking, concreting, stonework, tiling and irrigation
- Ability to read plans, measure and set out works accurately
- White Card (General Construction Induction) and a current driver's licence
- Machinery experience (excavator, bobcat) highly regarded
- Highly motivated, self-driven and detail-oriented Qualified in appearance and conduct
- Strong time management; available for seasonal long hours, weekends and, rarely, holidays
- Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude
- Able to work well with people of different backgrounds, knowledge and skill levels
- Good spoken and written English
- Confident, flexible and able to cope with pressure and changing priorities
