An exciting prospect with an ATTRACTIVE SALARY in the HORTICULTURUAL / AGRICULTURAL sector.
Primary Duties:
- Managing the day-to-day farming operations (planting, spraying, harvesting)
- Co-ordinating and carrying out all planting and harvesting activities
- Manage irrigation and paddock preparation
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all farm equipment, infrastructure, and facilities
- Oversee harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and dispatch of produce (ready for markets)
- Supervise a small team
- Ability to understand and operate various types of agri-machinery
- Coordinate the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
- Deliver product to markets (when required)
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Experience in agriculture / horticulture.
- Forklift license (prefered or willing to obtain)
- Minimum MR License (prefered or willing to obtain)
- Chemcert Certificate (prefered or willing to obtain)
- Tractor Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
