Independent Case-by-Case Associate

BMS GLOBAL is an established Australian migration practice situated in West Perth, Western Australia, with 26 years of experience in Australian migration services. Due to an increasing volume of work, we invite expressions of interest from reliable professionals who would like to develop a long-term association with our practice.

Newly registered migration agents and recent graduates in Australian migration law and other disciplines are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to suitable applicants residing in Perth, Western Australia, as this will support closer collaboration, training, file discussions and office-based assistance when required. Suitable applicants residing elsewhere in Australia may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

This opportunity is intended for an associate seeking additional migration work on a flexible, case-by-case basis. Matters may involve preparing, reviewing and lodging visa-related applications allocated by BMS GLOBAL, according to the associate's registration status, experience and capacity.

Areas of Work

• Employer-sponsored visas, particularly subclasses 482, 494, 186 and 400

- Standard Business Sponsorship and nomination applications
- Labour Market Testing, annual market salary rate research and employer compliance matters
- DAMA and Labour Agreement applications
- Partner, student, temporary graduate, visitor and skilled migration visas
- Australian citizenship applications
- Administrative Review Tribunal matters involving visa refusals and cancellations
- Requests for further information, natural justice responses and other complex migration matters

Proposed Arrangement

The association will generally operate on an independent, case-by-case basis. Matters will be offered according to the associate's experience, expertise, availability and capacity. The associate may accept or decline each matter. Professional fees will be shared on an agreed percentage basis.



The percentage, scope of work, responsibilities and payment arrangements will be confirmed before each matter is accepted.

This is a flexible professional association and not necessarily a full time salaried position. Work may be undertaken remotely, although Perth-based associates will be preferred. Any arrangement will be subject to agreed procedures, confidentiality, client-service standards and all applicable professional and legal obligations.

Who Should Apply

We welcome applications from:

- Experienced Registered Migration Agents seeking additional casework
- Newly registered migration agents seeking practical experience and professional collaboration
- Recent graduates of an Australian migration law course who are eligible for registration or are progressing towards registration

Any person who is not yet registered may only undertake work permitted by law. The provision of immigration assistance will be subject to current registration and any required supervision or professional arrangements.

Key Requirements

• Current registration as an Australian Registered Migration Agent, or completion of the prescribed migration law qualification with eligibility or a clear pathway towards registration
- Sound knowledge of Australian migration law, policy and visa-processing procedures
- Strong written communication, research, file-management and client-service skills
- Ability to prepare accurate applications, submissions, statements and supporting documents
- Reliability and the ability to meet strict Departmental and Tribunal deadlines
- Commitment to confidentiality,



professional integrity and compliance with all applicable obligations
- For registered agents, appropriate professional indemnity insurance and continuing professional development compliance
- Willingness to work cooperatively under BMS GLOBAL's agreed case-management procedures

Experience in employer-sponsored visas, DAMA or Labour Agreements, partner visas, citizenship matters or ART reviews will be highly regarded. However, genuine willingness to learn, careful attention to detail and professional reliability are equally important for newly registered agents and recent graduates.
