About the Role

We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac Theatres team at the Victorian Heart Hospital.

We have opportunities within both Anaesthetic/Recovery and Scrub/Scout. All opportunities are ongoing and we can accommodate both Full Time and Part Time applications.

Our purpose-built cardiac theatres provide a highly specialised environment for complex cardiac surgery and advanced cardiac procedures. As the service continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team and develop your expertise within a dedicated cardiac setting.

As a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, evidence-based and person-centred care throughout the perioperative journey. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, perfusionists, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support high-quality patient outcomes.

You will be supported to maintain and develop your clinical skills, participate in education and professional development,



and contribute to a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

You are a Registered Nurse who is passionate about Cardiac perioperative nursing and providing exceptional patient-centred care.

You will bring

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, essential
- Perioperative nursing experience, essential, cardiac theatre experience highly regarded
- Post-Graduate qualification in Perioperative nursing, desirable
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence and patient safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work within your scope of practice and confidently escalate clinical concerns
- A flexible and collaborative approach to working within a energetic specialist environment
