About the role

Rosalie Milton Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care in a general practice setting, supporting our General Practitioners and contributing to the health and wellbeing of our patients. Based in Auchenflower QLD 4066, you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care, health promotion, and clinical support services.

The casual nature of this position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful impact within our practice.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver direct patient care including wound management, injections, blood collection, minor procedures and cannulation
- Perform vital signs monitoring and triage for patients attending the clinic
- Provide immunisation services and manage vaccination programs in accordance with national guidelines
- Support General Practitioners during consultations, clinical procedures and recall management
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and documentation
- Promote health and wellbeing through patient education and preventative health advice. Proactively initiate Health Assessments and Chronic Condition Management Plans
- Manage clinic workflows to ensure efficient patient care delivery
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
- Collaborate with the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care

About you

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA




- Demonstrated experience working in a general practice or primary healthcare setting highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of clinical nursing procedures and best practice standards
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records and medical practice management systems (Best Practice, HotDoc, MYGPMP, PRODA would be ideal)
- A compassionate, patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery
- Reliable, flexible and professional attitude suited to casual work arrangements
- Must have Australian working rights
