Monday to Thursday (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) | Friday early finish at 1:30pm.

The Role n

Working as a Hydraulic Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling, testing, repairing and servicing hydraulic components and assemblies in the workshop.

You'll work with:

n

n
- Hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, power packs and actuators
n
- Hydraulic hoses and fittings
n
- Hydraulic assemblies and components
n
- Testing and troubleshooting hydraulic systems
n
- Hose manufacture and crimping
n
- Pump and valve testing and repairs
n
- Assembly and compliance documentation
n
- Identifying and resolving component issues
n
- Supporting internal sales teams with technical advice
n
- Helping identify better ways of working within the workshop
n
- The role will also increasingly involve customer site work, including installation, testing and commissioning.

This is not a breakdown-focused role. You'll have the opportunity to use your technical skills both in the workshop and on planned customer site work.

Ideal Candidate n

You'll ideally bring previous experience as a Hydraulic Fitter, although strong candidates from a Diesel Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or similar mechanical background with solid hydraulic experience will also be considered.

You'll need:

n

n
- Trade qualifications as a diesel fitter, mechanic or hydraulics fitter
n
- At least 12 months of post-trade experience is required; however, we would consider a 4th year apprentice.
n
- Hands-on hydraulic experience
n
- Experience with hydraulic cylinders, pumps and/or valves
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
- The ability to work independently
n
- A practical, hands-on approach
n
- A current driver's licence
n
- Experience with hydraulic hose assembly, installation, testing and commissioning will be highly regarded.
n
- A forklift and MR licence would also be advantageous.
n
- Just as importantly, you'll be someone who works well with others. The team is young, hardworking and enjoys having a laugh, so we're looking for someone reliable, approachable and engaged - without the big ego.
