About the Role

The District Nurse Manager, Integrated Virtual Care Services (IVCS), provides strategic, operational and skilled nursing leadership across a complex, district wide portfolio of virtual and community based services. The role oversees Hospital in the Home (HITH), Mid North Coast Virtual Care (MNCVC), Aged Care Outreach Service (ACOS), Central Intake and emerging Virtual Hospital initiatives, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, sustainable and patient centred care.

This senior leadership position is responsible for clinical governance, workforce and resource planning, quality improvement, financial management, service integration and strategic development. The role drives innovation in virtual, community based and hospital substitution models of care, while partnering across the health system to strengthen access, improve patient outcomes and support integrated models of service delivery.

Working at a district wide and system level, the position contributes to NSW Health and Commonwealth priorities, organisational strategy, reform and health system transformation across the Mid North Coast Local Health District. It is a key leadership role in shaping the future of digitally enabled, integrated and patient-centred healthcare.





This is a Full-Time permanent position based in Port Macquarie with the ability to travel the district.

About You

You are a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration and extensive senior nursing leadership experience across complex healthcare environments and can bring a strong combination of clinical expertise, health service management, strategic leadership and a demonstrated commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient centered care.

You can provide strategic, operational and professional leadership across multidisciplinary teams and complex service portfolios, with a focus on workforce capability, service performance, clinical governance and continuous improvement. You will need experience leading service redesign, organisational change and the implementation of innovative models of care, with the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical, sustainable improvements in service delivery. Do you have a strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement, accreditation, policy development and performance management.

You will have experience in workforce planning, resource management and monitoring service performance against key performance indicators,



with a focus on achieving sustainable outcomes while maintaining quality and patient safety along with bringing highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills and are confident working with executive leaders, clinicians, government agencies and external partners to build relationships, influence outcomes and deliver shared priorities.
