About the role

As an SKG RN you will be responsible for providing high quality pre, intra and post procedure nursing care and education to patients attending our Mandurah branch. In this role you will be involved in a range of duties such as assisting the Radiologist in interventional procedures including biopsies i.e. thyroid & breast and all Ultrasound and CT injections plus needling ports, thereby utilising all of your ward nursing skills that apply in the radiology setting.

You will be the sole Nurse on shift in the branch supported by our team of qualified technical staff consisting of Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Sonographers and Medical Imaging Assistants.

Whilst a background in medical imaging nursing will be highly regarded, we will provide training in the provision of care in a radiology department to the successful candidate.

This position is Part Time - 30 Hours per Fortnight, currently worked as Thursday & Friday at 7.5 hours per day.





Given the role is a job share arrangement there is an expectation where practical, to cover your job partner when they are on leave hence flexibility to work additional hours from time to time is key.

*For this reason, it is not suitable to hold a secondary day time position elsewhere.

Role requirements

- Degree/Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with AHPRA
- Recent solid clinical nursing experience
- A consistent Patients First focus
- A caring, compassionate nature
- The ability to work both independently and within our wider medical imaging team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Computer literacy
- Able to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment
