*About us:

Rockhampton Hospital's 36-bed Surgical Unit provides 24/7 inpatient care for adults aged 17 and over across Central Queensland. The unit supports a broad range of surgical specialties, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology and Dental, as well as limited Facio-maxillary care for patients awaiting transfer to Brisbane.

About the role

Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients and their families.

Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, contributing to holistic care and coordinating nursing activities or shifts when required.

Support education and professional development by sharing knowledge, educating patients and families, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Drive quality and improvement in practice by participating in research, quality improvement initiatives, policy development and care pathways that support better patient outcomes.

About you

Current AHPRA/NMBA Registered Nurse registration.

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate safe, person-centred care in a changing environment.

Clear communication and relationship-building skills, working effectively with patients, families, colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.

Leadership and support capabilities,



with the ability to guide and support ENs and AINs and contribute to the CQHHS Nursing and Midwifery Professional Practice Model.

What we offer

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $10,707 p.m. is comprised of:

An hourly rate between $44.27 - $56.79 p.h.

12.75% employer superannuation contribution
