About the role

Vascular Health Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our established specialist vascular and venous practice in Hawthorn East. This role would particularly suit a nurse with experience in theatre, recovery, emergency, ICU, day surgery or procedural nursing who enjoys clinical work and patient contact but is looking for more predictable hours and a high-quality specialist environment. You will work closely with an experienced vascular surgeon, GP phlebologist and multidisciplinary clinical team, assisting with minimally invasive venous procedures and supporting patients throughout their treatment.

Our patients are ambulant and procedures are performed in our purpose-designed rooms under local/tumescent anaesthesia, with no general anaesthesia or sedation.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with in-room vascular and venous procedures
- Preparation and administration of tumescent local anaesthetic within scope and under medical direction
- Assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures
- Patient preparation, monitoring and post-procedure care
- Maintaining excellent infection-control and procedural standards
- Procedure-room setup and turnover
- Stock, equipment and consumables management
- Patient education and communication
- Supporting efficient clinical workflow across the practice

More than a traditional nursing role Vascular Health Group is entering an exciting period of development, with expansion of our medical and sonography team and growing integration with WeWell®, our preventative health and lifestyle medicine initiative.

We are also developing opportunities for clinical research and patient-outcomes projects, particularly in vascular health, metabolic health, exercise, continuous glucose monitoring, lifestyle interventions and preventative medicine.

For a nurse with an interest in research, quality improvement or preventative health,



there may be opportunities over time to participate in areas such as:

- Clinical research and patient-outcomes projects
- Patient recruitment and study coordination
- Data collection and follow-up
- Quality-improvement initiatives
- Vascular and metabolic health programs
- Development of patient education and preventative-health initiatives

Research experience is not required. Equally, involvement in these areas would not be essential for someone primarily interested in the clinical nursing role. Why this role is different

About you

- AHPRA-registered as a Registered Nurse
- Experienced in theatre, ED, ICU, recovery, day surgery or procedural nursing
- Clinically confident and safety focused
- Calm and reassuring with awake patients
- Highly organised and attentive to detail
- Proactive and able to work independently
- An excellent communicator
- Interested in becoming an important long-term member of a small clinical team

About us Vascular Health Group is a long-established specialist vascular practice led by Dr Claire Campbell, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, with an on-site vascular imaging service and particular expertise in contemporary minimally invasive venous treatment. The practice is evolving into a broader multidisciplinary environment incorporating not only vascular care and imaging but also preventative health and clinical research.
