THE OPPORTUNITY

Beneco are seeking experienced allied health professionals to join us as Rehabilitation consultants on a flexible contracting basis. These roles are suited to practitioners who are already embedded in their regional communities and want to apply their expertise to occupational rehabilitation, on terms that work for them.

We are open to candidates from a range of disciplines including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, and Psychology are all welcome. What matters most is that you have genuine experience in occupational rehabilitation, a sound understanding of the WorkCover Queensland scheme, and the professional independence to manage a caseload.

Key Focus Areas Include

- Managing an active referred caseload across the WorkCover Queensland scheme, delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to injured workers in rural and regional areas.
- Conducting assessments and developing injury management and return-to-work plans that are practical, person-centred, and tailored to the realities of rural workplaces and communities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, treating practitioners, WorkCover Queensland, and other key local stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate, timely case documentation in line with scheme requirements and Beneco's quality standards.
- Contributing to a collaborative national network by sharing knowledge and upholding standards across a dispersed team of practitioners.

Location: Rural QLD – areas such as Gladstone & Rockhampton

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (ABN required)

Working Arrangements:Flexible - self-managed, with travel to client sites within your region

Disciplines: OT, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology

Rate: Competitive contractor rate commensurate with experience and discipline THE PERSON

Experience

We are looking for experienced practitioners who have the depth, qualified independence,



and regional presence to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to injured workers in rural Queensland. The right person for this arrangement will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in occupational rehabilitation or workplace rehabilitation
- Sound working knowledge of the WorkCover Queensland scheme and injury management frameworks.
- The ability to manage a caseload independently and remotely, with strong judgement, organisation, and documentation discipline.
- An established presence in the community with a network existing professional relationships that support effective stakeholder engagement.
- Confidence engaging with employers, treating practitioners, and insurers with professionalism and a genuine focus on outcomes.

Formal Qualifications Candidates must hold a university degree in one of the following disciplines, along with the relevant professional registration or accreditation:

- Occupational Therapy: AHPRA
- Physiotherapy: AHPRA
- Psychology: AHPRA registration and listing with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Rehabilitation Counselling: ASORC
- Exercise Physiology: ESSA

All Candidates Must Also Hold

- A current, full driver's licence
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle for client site travel
- A current Australian Business Number (ABN)
