Corporate Ventures (Labour) Pty Limited t/a Bowsers is an established Australian contractor specialising in passive fire protection. The business operates across the building, industrial, infrastructure and bushfire protection sectors, providing installation, maintenance and related services nationally.

We are seeking an experienced Renderer (Solid Plasterer) to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities The duties of the Renderer (Solid Plasterer) include:

· · Prepare walls, ceilings and other surfaces for fire-rated work.

· Measure and prepare work areas according to drawings and specifications.

· Install and finish fire-rated plasterboard and board systems.

· Cut, measure and fit fire-rated boards correctly.

· Fix boards using approved materials and methods.

· Mix and apply fire-rated mortars, plaster, render and other fire-resistant materials.

· Apply fire-rated coatings and protective materials to required surfaces.

· Finish joints, edges, corners and openings in fire-rated systems.

· Seal around service penetrations, joints and other gaps.

· Repair and maintain existing fire-rated plaster, boards, render and mortar.

· Read and follow construction drawings and fire-rated system instructions.

· Check the thickness, alignment and quality of completed work.

· Inspect work and fix any defects, cracks, gaps or other issues.

· Work with supervisors, builders, fire protection workers and other trades.

· Keep tools, equipment and materials clean and in good condition.

· Keep work areas clean, organised and safe.

· Use materials efficiently and minimise waste.





· Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use PPE.

· Follow relevant building codes, Australian Standards, project requirements and manufacturer instructions.

· Perform other plastering, rendering and passive fire protection duties as required.

Skills and Requirements

· Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in solid plastering, rendering and/or passive fire protection works.

· Relevant trade qualification in solid plastering, rendering or a related field and/or relevant practical industry experience.

· Experience working with fire-rated plasterboard, fire-rated boards, fire-rated mortars or similar fire-resistant materials will be highly regarded.

· Knowledge of plaster, cement, render, mortar and fire-resistant materials.

· Ability to accurately measure, cut, install and finish fire-rated boards and plasterboard.

· Ability to mix and apply fire-rated mortars and other compounds to specified requirements.

· Ability to achieve a high-quality finish while maintaining the required thickness and coverage of fire-rated materials.

· Ability to read and follow construction drawings, specifications and installation requirements.

· Ability to use plastering, rendering and installation tools safely and effectively.

· Robust attention to detail, particularly when working around joints, penetrations and interfaces.

· Ability to identify defects and undertake appropriate repairs and finishing works.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to work safely on construction, commercial and industrial sites.

· Good physical fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
