About the role The Reservations Agent is responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed stays and for shaping each guest's visit well before they arrive. At a lodge of 20 suites, every booking is personal: you will be the voice guests come to know, curating dining, spa and experience itineraries around the occasion that brings them to the Grand Saddles Lodge.

Working within a small team, you will manage enquiries by phone, email and online channels, maintain accurate rate and inventory records in the property management system, and work closely with the front office, restaurant and spa teams so that every detail agreed at booking is delivered on arrival. You will also support relationships with travel advisors, wholesale partners and returning guests, and contribute to the lodge's revenue performance through thoughtful upselling and careful management of availability.

Key responsibilities

- Respond to all enquiries promptly and professionally, within 24 hours
- Convert enquiries into confirmed reservations and track conversion performance
- Build pre-arrival itineraries across dining, spa and guided experiences in liaison with each department
- Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences and special occasion notes
- Process deposits, amendments and cancellations in line with lodge policy
- Manage travel advisor, wholesale and direct bookings with equal care
- Provide daily reporting on occupancy,



pickup and forward bookings as required
- Support the front office team during peak periods

About you

- A minimum of two years' reservations experience within a luxury hotel, lodge or resort
- Working knowledge of a property management system (Opera Cloud, Mews or similar) and online distribution channels
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with solid attention to detail
- A sales-minded approach to enquiries, packages and upselling
- Understanding of rate structures, deposit and cancellation policies, and availability management
- Familiarity with luxury travel networks and travel advisor relationships is advantageous
- A flexible approach to rostering, including weekend work as part of the ordinary working roster
