My Australian Career A community-focused early learning service based in Cranbourne, VIC is seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Child Care Worker to join its team at on a full time basis.

Position Overview

The Child Care Worker will provide care, supervision and support to children attending the service and will contribute to a safe, nurturing and stimulating early learning environment. The successful applicant will work as part of the centre's education and care team and will assist with children's daily routines, play-based activities, learning experiences, health, hygiene, wellbeing and development.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Work within a collaborative and dynamic teaching team Opportunity to bring your creativity to life through engaging, play-based learning programs Task & responsibilities Provide attentive care and active supervision of children throughout the day. Support children's health, safety, wellbeing and development. Assist with age-appropriate play, educational and recreational activities.
- Engage children in activities such as stories, music, games, art, craft and outdoor play. Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions and guidance. Assist children with daily routines including meals, rest, toileting and personal hygiene.




- Encourage children to develop independence and appropriate self-care skills. Monitor children's behaviour and provide positive and appropriate guidance. Prepare and arrange activity materials, equipment and play areas.
- Maintain clean, safe and stimulating indoor and outdoor environments. Support children with additional needs in accordance with their individual requirements and centre procedures. Communicate appropriately with parents, guardians and colleagues regarding children's daily care and activities.
- Maintain appropriate records relating to children's attendance, care, incidents and activities. Follow child safety, health, hygiene, emergency and workplace procedures. Participate in team meetings, training and professional development.
- Work cooperatively with educators and other staff members to provide consistent care and supervision.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualification & experience A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, such as Certificate III or equivalent, where applicable.

Previous experience working with children in a childcare, early learning or similar workplace. A current Working with Children Check, or eligibility to obtain one.

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certification, or willingness to obtain the required certificates. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

A caring, patient and responsible approach to working with children. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for children.

Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and experience working in a long day care or early learning environment will be highly regarded.
