Leading international firm | Major banks & insolvency practitioners | Complex contentious work

I’m working with a leading international law firm looking to add a 2–3 PQE lawyer to its Restructuring & Insolvency team in Sydney.

This is a particularly good opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to build experience across both complex insolvency matters and related commercial litigation, working closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers.

The work

You’ll act for major Australian banks, financiers, insolvency practitioners and corporate clients across matters including:

- Corporate restructurings and insolvencies
- Receiverships, administrations and liquidations
- Loan recovery and securities enforcement
- Banking and insolvency litigation
- Complex commercial disputes
- Domestic and cross-border restructuring matters

The breadth is also attractive. This isn’t purely advisory restructuring work or purely litigation. You’ll develop experience across distressed situations from enforcement and external administration through to complex disputes.

Who they’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll have around 2–3 years’ PQE with experience across restructuring, insolvency and/or commercial litigation from a recognised firm or relevant in-house environment.

Exposure to banking litigation, insolvency, loan recovery or securities enforcement would be particularly relevant.
