ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about helping customers bring their projects to life? We are looking for a friendly, motivated Retail Assistant – Paint to join our Edmonton team. This is a hands-on role where you will provide practical paint and product advice, mix and colour-match paint, maintain attractive displays and help customers select the right products and accessories for their needs. You will also support the wider store team with stock handling, merchandising, order preparation and general retail operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

- Providing friendly, knowledgeable and effective customer service
- Mixing and colour-matching paint
- Helping customers select suitable paint products and accessories
- Promoting complementary products and maximising sales opportunities
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing and special offers
- Merchandising paint, accessories and other retail products
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Receiving, moving, rotating and maintaining stock
- Processing point-of-sale transactions accurately
- Keeping customers informed about their orders and delivery status




- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe store environment
- Supporting other team members and departments when required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- Previous retail experience, preferably within paint, hardware, building supplies or a similar industry
- A genuine passion for customer service
- Confidence providing practical product advice
- A positive, friendly and approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
- The ability to adapt in a fast-paced retail environment
- An interest in learning new products and developing your skills
- A manual driver licence
