The Retail Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, coordinating staff, maintaining stock levels, supporting sales activities and ensuring a high standard of customer service.

The successful applicant will work closely with management and staff to maintain efficient retail operations and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
- Supervise, train and support retail staff.
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate duties according to business requirements.
- Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving sales targets.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and coordinate stock ordering and replenishment.
- Monitor inventory and minimise stock loss, wastage and discrepancies.
- Ensure merchandise is correctly displayed, priced and presented.
- Provide high-quality customer service and handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions and daily reconciliation procedures.
- Maintain store cleanliness, presentation and workplace standards.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and product availability.
- Monitor operating expenses and assist with controlling store costs.
- Prepare and maintain relevant sales, inventory and operational records.
- Identify opportunities to improve store performance and customer experience.
- Assist with promotional activities, merchandising and implementation of business strategies.




- Ensure the store operates efficiently during busy trading periods.

Skills and Experience The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in retail management or a senior retail supervisory role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience supervising and coordinating staff.
- Knowledge of stock control, inventory management and merchandising.
- Ability to manage sales, cash handling and daily store operations.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- A strong focus on customer satisfaction and business performance.

Qualifications A relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Business Administration or a related field will be highly regarded. Relevant industry experience may also be considered.
