About the role

Lead the daily operation of an established, locally owned Broome retail store. Deliver strong sales, excellent customer service and effective stock management while developing a reliable, motivated team. This is an active shop-floor role combining customer service, team leadership and responsibility for the store's commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

- Lead by example on the sales floor, providing knowledgeable and friendly service to local customers and visitors

- Work towards agreed sales, gross profit and average transaction targets

- Coach staff in product knowledge, customer engagement and complementary selling

- Resolve customer enquiries, complaints, returns and warranty matters within company policy and applicable consumer obligations

- Allocate daily duties and maintain clear service and presentation standards

- Prepare rosters that match trading demand and approved wage budgets

- Assist with recruitment, induction, training and performance reviews

- Oversee deliveries,



stock receiving, pricing, replenishment and transfers

- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate stocktakes and cycle counts

- Manage opening, closing, cash handling, till reconciliation and banking procedures

About you

- Proven retail management or senior supervisory experience

- Ability to lead a small team while remaining actively involved in customer service

- Understanding of sales targets, gross margin, wage budgets and inventory control

- Confidence using retail software, spreadsheets and business reports

- Solid organisation, communication and problem-solving skills

- Reliability, sound judgement and a practical approach to running a store

- Availability for rostered weekend and late trading work

- Relevant product knowledge and experience serving both local and tourist customers are desirable
