We are searching for an RBI Specialist with a background in refinery operations. The successful candidate will have a background as technical expert in RBI Specialist within an oil refinery.

RISK-BASED INSPECTION (RBI) SPECIALIST

Location Australia , Geelong Refinery

Permanent Position

Summary

Lead continual improvement, implementation and execution of the RBI Program in accordance with API 580/API 581.

Facilitate and lead RBI studies for pressure vessels, piping and pressure relief devices.

Maintain and periodically revalidate RBI assessments.

Develop optimized inspection plans based on risk.

Integrate RBI outputs into inspection, maintenance and turnaround plans.

Review inspection findings and process changes for impact on equipment risk.

Monitor RBI program performance, compliance and effectiveness.

Support fitness-for-service assessments in accordance with API 579.

Provide technical input to MOC activities and incident investigations.

Key Requirements

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years experience in refining, petrochemical or oil and gas industries.





Demonstrated experience leading RBI programs in accordance with API 580 and preferably API 581.

Strong understanding of API 571 damage mechanisms.

Working knowledge of API 510, 570, 579, 580, 581 and 653.

Experience with RBI software and integrity management systems.

API 580 certification highly desirable.
