Exciting venue 'One Fusion' needs to add to their already growing team.

n

Located in Bundoora in busy shopping location.

n

The role is for a 'Qualified Chef'. Minimum Certificate III and IV required in commercial cookery.

n

We are currently on the lookout for an individual who believes that Hospitality is the career for them.

n

We are looking for a 'Full-time' candidate, over 4.5 to 5 days per week.

n

We have a restaurant downstairs with a function room upstairs.

n

Our Menu is quite extensive, yet simple and classic.

Full job description… n

n
- Assisting with Re - Designing and updating of menus including seasonal menus. Updating our regular menu every 6 months;
n
- Assist in running the kitchen as it is your own;
n
- Overseeing delivery of stock of food and equipment supplies and doing purchases for orders;
n
- Ensuring freshness and quality in the ingredients and preparation of meals;
n
- Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to staff;
n
- Prepare and cook foods for dining and function service;
n
- Implementing and enforcing hygiene regulations and examining equipment for cleanliness;
n
- Food stocktaking procedures and waste management;
n
- Day to day temperature checks;
n
- Provide and record a program of basic training for all recent members of staff and communicate performance and development issues on a regular basis;
n
- Manage and train the team within the kitchen during service and outside of service.

The successful applicants will… nn
- Demonstrate experience in a fast-paced environment;
n
- Experience in a similar hospitality venue on the floor or bar;
n
- Qualified and friendly manner with customers and co-workers;
n
- Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude;
n
- Understand the family restaurant culture and expectations of customer service;
n
- Able and willing to work a set roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts.
