Road Worker – Transport for NSW | Gundagai Location: Gundagai, NSW

Pay Rate: $45.45 per hour super

Contract: ASAP start – 7 November 2026 Possibility of extension

Hours: 76 hours per fortnight | 8.5 hours per day

Roster: 9-day fortnight

APG Workforce is seeking a reliable and hardworking Road Worker to join Transport for NSW on the HW2 Concrete Slab Replacement Project, based around Gundagai.

This is a hands-on role working as part of an established road maintenance and construction team. Previous concrete experience is desirable; however, it is not essential for candidates with suitable civil, construction or labouring experience.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing a range of routine physical and manual tasks on roadwork sites
- Using hand tools, power tools and machinery safely and effectively
- Assisting with concrete slab replacement and associated roadworks
- Working individually and as part of a team under the direction of the Team Leader
- Following site safety procedures, work instructions and TfNSW requirements




- Assisting with general civil construction and maintenance activities
- Working outdoors in varying conditions

About You

We are looking for someone who is physically capable, safety focused and comfortable undertaking hands-on work in a civil construction setting.

Previous experience in roadworks, civil construction, concrete works or general labouring will be highly regarded. Essential Tickets & Licences

- White Card
- WOF
- Current Car Driver Licence or above
- Silica Awareness Training – mandatory
- Traffic Control (TC) ticket, or willingness to obtain
