Sydney Harbour Roofing Pty Ltd is a licensed and insured roofing contractor operating across the Sydney metropolitan area and expanding into regional Current South Wales.

They are now currently seeking an experienced Roof Plumber to join their team in Granville in NSW.

The Role

You will be part of a team responsible for the installation and repair of metal roofing, gutters, downpipes, flashings, and drainage systems on residential and commercial properties. You'll work on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

This is a full time permanent position with an annual salary between $79,500 to $83,000 plus superannuation. The position will be based Sydney Harbour Roofing Pty Ltd and service various service sites in wider Sydney region.

The Responsibilities

Your tasks will consist of:

- Install, repair, and maintain metal roofing, downpipes, gutters, fascia, and flashings

- Conduct roof inspections to identify plumbing issues such as leaks, corrosion, or damage

- Read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and specifications for accurate installation

- Fabricate and fit custom metal roof components using hand and power tools

- Install roof drainage systems to comply with Australian plumbing and stormwater regulations

- Apply sealants and waterproofing materials to ensure weather-tight installations

- Collaborate with builders, site managers, and other trades to ensure project timelines are met

- Ensure all roofing materials and fittings are compliant with BCA and relevant Australian Standards





- Safely operate and maintain elevated work platforms (EWPs), scaffolding, and ladders

- Remove and dispose of old or damaged roof plumbing components following environmental guidelines

- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on existing roof plumbing systems

- Keep detailed records of materials used, work performed, and site conditions

- Adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and company safety procedures

- Train and supervise apprentices or junior team members to maintain high workmanship standards

- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean

The Requirements To be considered for the position you must meet the following requirements:

- A Certificate 3 in roof plumbing

- At least 2 years' experience in advanced metal roof installation, including Colourbond and custom flashing systems

- At least 2 years' experience in guttering, downpipe, fascia, and stormwater drainage systems installation

- At least 2 years' experience interpreting architectural and construction drawings for roof plumbing layouts

- At least 2 years' experience in waterproofing, flashing detail work, and leak prevention techniques

- At least 2 years' experience using hand and power tools such as pan brakes, guillotines, and rivet guns for precise metalwork

- At least 2 years' experience applying BCA, NCC, and Australian Standards for roof plumbing compliance on active job sites

- Must be experienced with Australian plumbing code

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
