About the role

Connect Solar is seeking a SAA Solar Accredited A Grade Electrician to join our growing team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the rapidly expanding solar energy sector. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic systems for both residential and commercial clients.

This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions to the Perth community, and you will play a key part in helping our clients transition to sustainable energy.

Key responsibilities

- Install, commission, and maintain solar photovoltaic systems in accordance with SAA standards and relevant regulations
- Perform electrical work on solar installations, including wiring, panel installation, inverter setup, and battery system integration
- Conduct thorough system testing and diagnostics to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding their solar systems and energy efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of all installations, maintenance work, and system specifications
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company quality standards
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty solar systems and electrical components
- Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and provide professional service
- Assist in training and mentoring junior electricians and apprentices as required

What we're looking for

- SAA (Standards Australia) Solar Accreditation – Essential requirement
- A Grade Electrical License – Essential requirement
- Proven experience in solar PV installation and electrical work, preferably in a residential or commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring standards, and safety protocols
- Experience with inverters, battery storage systems,



and associated electrical equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical fitness and capability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transport for travelling to job sites across Perth
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
