Marshfield Consulting Services (Marshfield) is a growing construction project management consultancy seeking a suitably qualified Work Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to join the business.

Marshfield is a multifaceted consultancy providing project management, commercial management, engineering and other project delivery services to Clients and Contractors of all sizes and types of infrastructure projects throughout South Australia. Marshfield prides itself in actively engaging with clients and employees through a transparent and collaborative end-to-end approach.

ABOUT THE ROLE In this position you will provide specialized WHS services to Clients and/or Contractors on a range of infrastructure projects within South Australia including:

- Ensuring safe systems of work are implemented in all aspects of your responsibilities.
- Provide onsite support for our clients’ project teams to comply with site work health and safety management plans, risk management processes, and compliance activities.
- Assist in the development and compliance of risk assessments, Safe Work Management Plans, work permits and site management plans on project sites.
- Actively engage with work teams to provide practical safety related advice and leadership.
- Undertake site safety inspections and contribute to work planning and methodologies.
- Facilitate site inductions and worker training and coaching where required.
- Work collaboratively with Marshfield management.





This role is on a regional project which is currently working 15 days on and 6 days off (travel in work time). Transport, meals, accommodation and site uplifts are paid separately. This role may be offered on a contract basis with the potential to grow into a full time role depending individual circumstances.

ABOUT YOU

- Be motivated, passionate, innovative and energetic.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Work health and Safety as a minimum (this is mandatory)
- 3 years or more experience in safety management duties, ideally within the civil construction industry
- Ideally, hold experience in road construction and working on DIT projects in South Australia.
- Be an accomplished communicator who is confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Be flexible and willing to learn new processes and skills.

Experience in general supervision, site coordination and team leadership will be highly regarded.
