About the role To provide effective administrative and operational support across the Squadron's sailing activities, assisting with the planning and delivery of sailing programs, events and sporting operations. The position will support the Sailing Team across administration, participant services, health and safety, marketing, volunteer management, records management and sporting equipment, ensuring sailing activities are delivered efficiently, safely and in accordance with Club policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Sailing Team to facilitate the effective planning, administration and management of sailing activities and events.
- Maintain accurate financial, participation, operational and other records relevant to the delivery of sailing activities.
- Assist with the implementation of appropriate health and safety procedures and ensure participant safety is considered at all times during sailing activities.
- Assist with the management and reporting of accidents, incidents and other safety matters arising during sailing activities.
- Assist with the promotion and marketing of Club sailing activities through appropriate communication and social media channels.
- Record participation, attendance and evaluations of sailing activities and programs as required.
- Maintain an awareness of relevant legislation, regulations and industry requirements that may affect the delivery of sailing activities at the Club.
- Accurately maintain all Dinghy Storage records and documentation, ensuring regular audits are completed and records remain current and accurate.
- Manage volunteer records and compliance documentation, including Blue Card registrations,
and assist with scheduling volunteer training and activities in accordance with the annual volunteer plan.
- Provide customer service and administrative support to members, participants, coaches, volunteers and event visitors.

Essential Qualifications and Licences
- Current Queensland Driver and Marine Licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current Blue Card.
Desirable
- Diploma or Degree in Sport Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in sporting administration, sailing operations or event administration.
- Relevant sailing qualifications or experience.
