About us

Koori Constructions is a carpentry and building company working across the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and the Hunter. We handle all aspects of carpentry and building, including renovations, extensions, additions, granny flats and new builds, across residential, commercial, government, health and defence work.

The role

You'll be the first point of contact for every new enquiry and carry it through to a signed job. Our estimator prices the work. You find it, scope it and close it.

- Call every new lead within 5 minutes during business hours. They come from Meta ads, our website, Instagram, Facebook and referrals, around 20–30 a week
- Qualify them on that first call and book the site visit while they're still on the phone
- Attend the site visit: walk the job with the client, work out what they want, measure up, take photos, and talk budget and timing
- Enter the full scope into Buildxact (client, address, job type, rooms, inclusions, budget and notes) so our estimator can price it
- Take the finished quote back to the client and walk them through it
- Follow up every quote until it's a yes or a no (day 2, 7, 14, 21 and 30) and record the outcome in our CRM
- Keep your numbers current daily (leads, contacted, booked, visited, quoted, won, lost) and review them with the Director every Friday

What we expect

- Lead response under 5 minutes during work hours, with after-hours enquiries called the next morning
- Every site visit confirmed the day before
- Every quote given a recorded outcome within 30 days
- Help lift our close rate from 15% to 30% inside six months, measured as a team

Hours Flexible. Some clients can only meet after work, so expect one or two late-afternoon site visits a week,



and take that time back with an early finish. Weekend work is adaptable too.

About you (essential)

- Solid building and carpentry knowledge. You've been on the tools, run jobs or worked in a carpentry and building construction company previously, and you can stand in a bathroom, for example, and see what's involved: demolition, waterproofing, plumbing rough-in, tiling and fit-off
- Sales experience in trades, renovations, kitchens or similar, where you've sat in someone's home and asked for the job
- You'd rather pick up the phone than send an email
- Comfortable talking price and asking a client what's holding them back
- Organised enough to manage 100 open quotes without dropping one
- Current driver's licence, White Card and a reliable car

Bonus points

- Trade-qualified: Cert III in Carpentry and/or Cert IV in Building & Construction
- Buildxact or CRM experience

What we offer

- $75,000–$85,000 base + super, paid weekly, depending on building experience
- % of the quoted margin on every job you scope that goes to contract, paid the pay period after the deposit lands
- $ bonus every quarter our close rate is 30% or better, or hitting our target revenue for the month
- Realistic first-year earnings of $95,000–$110,000, with no cap
- Vehicle allowance during probation, company ute after
- A secure full-time role with a growing local builder and a down-to-earth team
