Group Accountant | Pathway to Financial Controller
n This role is a superb opportunity to showcase and enhance your financial and management skills in the Transport and Agricultural industries. This position will be based in both Warwick and Killarney QLD .

The Role:
n Are you a technically solid accountant looking to take the next step in your career? Join our growing Group and play a key role in driving financial control, reporting accuracy,



and continuous improvement while developing toward a future Financial Controller position.
n Reporting to the GM Finance, you will lead month-end processes, oversee reconciliations, fixed assets, project and hire-purchase accounting, and coordinate statutory and tax reporting across the Group. You will also support and mentor Finance team members while helping strengthen systems, processes, and controls.

What you'll be doing:

n

- Coordinating Group month-end close and financial control activities
n
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, and intercompany accounts
n
- Overseeing fixed assets, capital projects, inventory/WIP, and hire-purchase accounting
n
- Preparing and reviewing BAS, Fuel Tax Credits, payroll tax, Work Cover, and year-end workpapers
n
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts, cash flow reporting, and Board reporting
n
- Developing and supporting Finance team members
n
- Driving process improvements and ERP system efficiencies
n

About you:

n

n
- CPA, CA, IPA or equivalent qualification completed or substantially completed
n
- Proven experience in financial accounting, month-end reporting, and reconciliations
n
- Strong multi-entity financial accounting, month-end, reconciliation and statutory reporting experience
n
- Strong Excel and ERP capability; Pronto experience highly advantageous.
n
- Experience in transport, logistics, manufacturing or another asset-intensive environment advantageous
n
- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to manage deadlines and complex financial information
n
