Job Description

- Develop and implement legal and compliance strategies tailored to the retail sector.
- Provide expert legal advice to support business objectives and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manage and oversee legal documentation, contracts, and agreements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on legal matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate measures.
- Lead and mentor a team within the legal department.




- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the retail industry.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal and Compliance General Manager should have:

- A degree in Law or a related field.
- Proven experience in legal and compliance roles within the retail industry.
- Has experience in corporate or commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of Australian laws and regulations.
- Permanent residency
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to provide strategic legal advice in a busy environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing contracts and legal documentation.
