About the role

Reporting into the broader national management structure, you will take ownership of the Sunshine Coast branch as a business unit. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the operational, commercial and financial performance of the branch, including estimating, project delivery, contracts, workforce, scaffold assets, engineering coordination, client relationships and business development.

Key responsibilities

- Leading day-to-day branch and scaffold operations across multiple projects
- Managing supervisors, scaffold crews, project personnel, yard operations and subcontractors
- Estimating and reviewing tenders, drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Developing labour, material, transport, engineering, supervision and project cost estimates
- Managing projects from mobilisation through erection, alterations, hire, dismantling and commercial close-out
- Monitoring project productivity, labour utilisation, budgets, WIP, revenue and margin
- Reviewing contracts, purchase orders, commercial conditions and project obligations
- Identifying, pricing and managing variations, extensions of hire and additional works
- Coordinating scaffold design and engineering requirements




- Managing scaffold inventory, asset utilisation, transport, logistics and yard performance

About you

- Significant scaffolding industry experience
- Experience as a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager, Senior Estimator or similar
- Solid knowledge of scaffold erection, alteration and dismantling
- Experience managing multiple scaffold projects and workforces
- Estimating and tendering capability
- Strong understanding of labour productivity and project costing
- Contract administration and variation management experience
- Financial or P&L; management capability
- Experience reviewing scaffold drawings and engineered designs
- Strong leadership and client management skills
