Our Boys' Secondary School is currently looking for an exceptional Science, Maths and VCE Numeracy Teacher to join the team in Term 1, 2027.

This is a permanent, part-time position offering a 0.75 load.

Reporting to the Head of Teaching and Learning, ou’ll be backed by an engaged and supportive leadership team that prioritises staff wellbeing, instructional excellence, and a culture where teachers feel valued and empowered.

Responsibilities and Requirements

- Planning and implementation of a curriculum of teaching programs or courses of study using a range of teaching techniques and materials
- Planning, implementing and marking a variety of assessment tasks to monitor students’ progress
- Implementation of strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
- Maintenance of records of class attendance and recording of student progress
- Liaison with students and parents
- Implementation of effective student management strategies consistent with the school’s behaviour management plan
- Attendance at regular staff and curriculum planning meetings
- Provide supervision of students during recess, as timetabled
- Provide a safe and nurturing workplace and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community




- Contribute to Learning Enhancement by identifying students requiring additional support or extension, collaborating with the Learning Enhancement team, and implementing targeted strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Differentiate teaching and assessment to support a wide range of learners, including those with specific learning needs, high‑ability students, and students requiring short‑term intervention

About You

- Tertiary qualifications in Education (Bachelor degree or higher)
- Current VIT registration
- Comfort and experience in teaching Secondary level classrooms
- High level of attention to detail and empathy, with the ability to adapt to students’ needs
- A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children

Pay: $74,139.33 – $118,450.00 per year
