We are looking for an experienced Sea Freight Clerk to join our facility in Alexandria.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight professional who is confident working across both import and export sea freight and has strong working knowledge of CargoWise.

About the Role

As a Sea Freight Clerk, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day sea freight operations across both import and export shipments, ensuring shipments are processed accurately and efficiently while providing a high level of service to customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage sea freight import and export shipments from start to finish
- Process and maintain shipment documentation and data in CargoWise
- Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, transport providers, customers and other stakeholders
- Monitor shipment milestones and ensure deadlines are met
- Prepare and process import/export documentation
- Assist with customs and quarantine-related requirements where applicable
- Maintain accurate shipment records and follow internal procedures
- Communicate with customers and provide updates on shipment status




- Resolve day-to-day operational issues efficiently and professionally

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Proven experience handling both sea freight imports and exports
- Strong, hands-on experience using CargoWise
- Solid understanding of international freight forwarding processes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
