Birds of Paradise Community College is seeking an experienced, motivated and dedicated Child Care Worker to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in a safe, nurturing and inclusive early childhood environment.
- Assist in preparing materials and equipment for children's educational, developmental and recreational activities.
- Prepare and conduct age-appropriate learning and play experiences for children.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities and daily routines.
- Support children's social and emotional development and guide positive behaviour.
- Assist children with personal care, hygiene, meals, rest and other daily routines.
- Observe children's learning, development, interests and wellbeing and contribute to appropriate documentation.
- Support the implementation of educational programs and experiences in accordance with the service's program and approved learning framework.
- Build positive, respectful and professional relationships with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and members of the service team.
- Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Follow the service's child safety, supervision, health, hygiene and workplace procedures.




- Participate in staff meetings, training and career development as required.
- Comply with applicable early childhood education and care requirements and the service's policies and procedures.
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or other relevant recognised qualification.
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience working with children in an early childhood education and care environment.
- Experience providing care and supervision to children in a centre-based service.
- Experience supporting children's learning, development and daily routines.

Pay range : $79,499 to $84,499 plus superannuation.
