Our client is an Australian fashion wholesaler located in inner Melbourne. They manage the design, production and distribution of womenswear apparel for a number of prominent Australian Fashion brands.

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Garment Technician who has a keen eye for detail, enjoys a fast-paced environment and works well in a team workplace.

n

This role is PERMANENT PART TIME.

The role: n

n
- Create tech packs for new styles including cover sheets and measurement specifications
n
- Work across woven garments, fully fashioned knitwear and cut and sew
n
- Prepare garments for fittings, attend fit sessions, type fit comments and send bulk graded specs to off-shore suppliers
n
- Measure original samples and fit samples as required
n
- QC check shipment samples and maintain high quality standards
n
- Managing and tracking the sample process, critical path, production schedules and freight timelines
n
- Set up Production Schedules and maintain them with any changes
n




- Liaise with suppliers re fit samples, Salesman samples, PP samples and Shipment samples to meet the critical path timeline
n
- Unpack and tag Salesman samples
n
- Assist in organising Salesman samples and AD samples for photoshoots
n
- Answer emails daily and respond to supplier questions promptly
n
- Support the product team with administrative needs
n
- Proficiency in use of Excel and Google sheets
n

Skills Required : nn
- Clear communication
n
- Good organisational skills
n
- Garment Tech, measuring, spec creation knowledge, grading knowledge minimum 5+ years
n
- High attention to detail
n
- Experience working with woven, knit, cut and sew garments highly advantageous
n
